Particle Model and Kinetic Theory

Synopsis
In two parts: 1 (15 min): Stacking (crystals, angles can be predicted by the ionic radii), temperature (the particles have kinetic energy; thermal expansion can be explained by vibration of particles in crystals), solution (if a solution gives colour, the colour depends directly on the dilution), solutions can be filtered so the particles are small, precipitation (crystals are formed as the particles stack, lead tree), particles move fast (Brownian movement, spreading of smells, diffusion of coloured gases, osmosis, rocket motor); 2 (20 min): gas has mass, pressure, volume and temperature; kinetic energy and momentum; volume and pressure; temperature and volume; pressure and temperature; temperature and pressure; evaporation; PV = nRT.
