Part of the Furniture
- Synopsis
- Ratings reveal how many people watch television; appreciation indexes claim to show whether people like what they see, but little is known about how people actually watch television. In 1985 Oxford University mounted a unique experiment placing a camera inside the television sets of twenty families. The results provide a portrait of the television viewer and the sort of frustrations and tensions created between the viewers themselves.
