Ourselves Before Birth

Synopsis
Presents the concept of complex change as it occurs in embryological development. Begins with the development of the oocyte, its expulsion into the uterine tube and its fertilisation there; then the development of the blastocyst and its implantation into the endometrium of the uterus, followed by the development of the embryo. Detailed anatomical development is shown, including the changes at birth involving the transition from placental to independent circulation. An animated film.
