Synopsis
Looks at bacteria and their varied effects on the real world, and their utilisation of resources. Describes the biology of common bacterial diseases. Discusses bacteria with respect to their usefulness in the domestic environment, examining various aspects of food production in some detail. Looks at the development of insecticides from bacteria and the use of antibiotics to destroy them. Examines at the human body as a series of habitats for bacteria, describing what lives where and how they live. Approximately three hours of teaching material.
