Synopsis
Eight unedited British newsreel stories look at the build-up to the Cold War: Churchill’s Iron Curtain speech; the Truman Doctrine speech, the Marshall Plan, Eastern Europe situation 1945-48, formation of NATO, Berlin blockade, Acheson on atomic weapons, Korean War. In addition to the original soundtrack, there are additional audio commenteries John Young and Jerry Kuehl. Also includes the full text of the booklet by Peter G Boyle which accompanying the original video compilation.
