- The Old Glengowla lead mine in County Galway, Ireland, operated from 1851 to 1865. Today, an underground trip down to water level shows old equipment and and a variety of minerals, and on the surface can be seen the restored powder magazine, blacksmith’s workshop and agent’s cottage.
