Synopsis

Discusses assisted reproductive technology (ART) and its implications, both social and ethical. Uses microscopic footage and graphics to show the latest infertility treatments. The ethical implications are raised through personal stories told by young infertile couples, lesbian parents and mothers who use donor sperm or donor eggs, as well as young people who were conceived with the help of the technology. Bioethicists highlight the issues and look to the future.
