Observing Tardive Dyskinesia

Synopsis
Demonstrates the movements which are characteristic of tardive dyskinesia which may be detected by careful observation. Different patients illustrate the range of severity from the minimal movements found in most to the gross dyskinesia found in a few. Others clearly reveal in the same person a range of severity related to their state of arousal or temporary control. The film stresses the need for early recognition of symptoms and the need for great care in the monitoring of drugs prescribed.
