Synopsis

In 1932 a famous experiment by J Cockcroft and E T S Watson in the Cavendish Laboratories at Cambridge resulted in the creation of the first man-made element. Shows a construction of the experiment carried out in a studio replica of the laboratories, followed by a review of the consequences for the field of nuclear physics.
