Synopsis

With a surplus of agricultural produce in Europe resulting from scientific intervention, land has set aside and made available for new non-food crops: timber, biomass, oil seeds and plants that can be turned into clothing fabric. The results should help to overcome some of the hazards of industrial societies and enrich life.
