- A profile of English author Nicholas Mosley, containing an overview of his concept of ‘hopeful monsters’. Mosely has been writing novels, biographies and screenplays for 50 years. The programme highlights the links between his unusual history (he is the son of Oswald Mosley) and themes of his highly original fiction. Interviews conducted in Majorca and Sussex cover his views on the possibilities of human evolution, his parents’ personal and political histories, his experiences in battle during World War 2, and his elevation to the House of Lords. Includes readings from his works, stills from his family album, clips from his own and Oswald Mosley’s home movies, and clips from films derived from his novels.
