Nice Guys Finish First
- Synopsis
- Richard Dawkins explains how natural selection can favour co-operation in nature, so long as it is of benefit to the selfish gene. His search for stable cooperative strategies that are unaffected by cheating and exploitation involves a game known as ‘the prisoner’s dilemma’, in which cooperation benefits everyone yet participants tend to get locked into situations of non-cooperation where no one does well.
