Next Birthday
- Synopsis
- A fictional dramatisation about the recurring hope of a cure for cystic fibrosis. It features the birthdays of a boy with CF who grows into a teenager. At each birthday the gift of a cure gets closer but not close enough. As a teenager he meets a girl with the condition; she is hoping for a lung transplant. A donor is found, but the girl dies before the operation can take place. The film contains a great deal of symbolism and shows life with CF.
