Stories from ‘Cinesound Reviews’ and ‘Movietone News’ from 1908 to 1975, with original commentaries. The footage comes from the original 35mm newsreel prints and are complete newsreel issues as shown in the cinemas. Subjects cover news, sport and features, including World War 2 footage, the Beatles in Australia, the opening of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, the 1954 Petrov affair, Damien Parer’s 1942 KOKODA FRONT LINE, and the 1945 Miss Australia contest.
