Synopsis
Part three of Bill Douglas’ autobiographical trilogy about his impoverished upbringing in Scotland (the other titles are MY CHILDHOOD and MY AIN FOLK). Leaving a children’s home to become a miner and then a tramp, a young man’s miserable life changes for the better when he is called up for National Service and goes to Egypt.
