Synopsis

Presents seven vignettes of counselling sessions focusing on the barrier that often arises between counsellors and clients who have different cultural backgrounds. Allows viewers to hear the self-talk of both the counsellor and client in order to heighten awareness of the internal process that occurs during all counselling interactions. Considers situations involving ethnic and racial concerns and more complicated situations that combine issues of ethnicity with issues of religious and gender identity.
