Mr Punch’s History of the Great War
- Synopsis
- The collection of some of the more telling cartoons that appeared in the pages of ‘Punch’ during the World War 1 War illustrates the persuasive power of the cartoon, particularly in wartime. As a tool of propaganda it had no serious rival - from encouragement of the ‘stiff upper lip’ to denigration of the enemy.
