Synopsis
Simon Callow re-enacts the public readings given by Charles Dickens, reading extracts from five of the most popular Dickens novels. The readings aim for an accurate re-creation of Dickens’s style - costume and stage set are replicas, and Simon Callow works from the author’s own prompt scripts. The extracts are: 1) Sykes & Nancy; 2) Christmas Carol ; 3) Christmas Carol II; 4) Trial from Pickwick; 5) Dr. Marigold
