Synopsis

The programme is a video document of the Arts Council’s live art placement scheme in 1989. Gary Stevens spent six weeks in the Art Department at Brighton Polytechnic within the art departmentand produced a performance in Brighton’s Pavilion Theate in June 1989. The video shows the students and Gary during rehearsals and in the final performance. Gary describes what he hoped to achieve and some of the principles of his approach. The students give their views of the experience.
