Synopsis
Courseware intended to help students to think of chemical formulae in terms of three-dimensional arrangements of atoms and molecules. Teaches the assignment of R & S stereochemical designation to chiral molecules. In six parts: 1) Molecular projections; 2) Isomers and chirality; 3) Assigning prioities; 4) Orientating a molecule; 5) The final designation; 6) Self assessment. Suitable for self-paced open learning or as part of a lecture course. Approximately 2 hours of teaching material.
