Synopsis
Opera, ballet and pantomime are incorporated into this adaptation which is derived from a Lindsay Kemp stage production at Sadler’s Wells. Titania (The Incredible Orlando) is a drag queen; the Indian boy (Francois Testory), the focus of more than platonic admiration; Puck (Kemp), an ‘ancient Jewish fairy’; and the ‘Pyramus and Thisby’ play a version of Romeo and Juliet, played on stilts. Music by Carlos Miranda.
