Men Who Bottled a Cow, The
- Synopsis
- Documentary on Dr Glynn Vale’s research into the tsetse fly - a carrier of trypanosomiasis (sleeping sickness - a major killer of domestic animals in Africa). His research in Zimbabwe led to the discovery of a way of bottling the smell of a cow’s breath to use in a trap, which proved to be a more practical and long-term method of controlling the tsetse fly than previously used insecticides.
