Synopsis: Following a real-life example of an infant being prescribed oral rehydration therapy, shows how the treatment with a sugar-salt-water mixture works. Examines the structure of thr enterocyte, its two distinct plasma membranes, the roles of phospholipiss and transport proteins, different types of the menbrane transport, and how these are integrated in the enterocyte.
