Mechanisation of Textile Spinning, The

Synopsis
Illustrates the methods of working early textile machines, from the flying shuttle to the spinning mule. Engravings, cartoons and actual examples from Helmshare Higher Mill Museum are used. The final section deals with the economic development of the industry and includes archive film taken in Oldham in 1911.
