Mechanical Engineering Production Techniques, Tape 4 (4 Parts)

Synopsis
A series of video programmes on the manufacture of components. The material shows actual (not idealised) practice, giving a realistic impression of both the process and industry. The series assumes no prior knowledge of engineering yet covers techniques which even experienced engineers may not have seen.
1 (1985): Introduces electrophoretic, electrostatic (liquid and powder) and hand spray painting.
2 (1985): Introduces the specialised but important process of photo-chemical machining, described from the coiled metal to the finished component.
3 (1989): Introduces gas welding, coated arc, TIG, MIG and spot welding.
4 (1986): Stresses the advantages of soldering and shows several methods, including jig, reflow, manual, etc.
