Mechanical Engineering Production Techniques, Tape 2 (4 Parts)

Synopsis
A series of video programmes on the manufacture of components. The material shows actual (not idealised) practice, giving a realistic impression of both the process and industry. The series assumes no prior knowledge of engineering yet covers techniques which even experienced engineers may not have seen.
1 (1982): Describes the following sheet metal work processes: cutting (guillotine, tinsnips and nibler), bending, and rolling and joining (gas welding, brazing, spot welding and hand riveting).
2 (1982): Discusses sheet metal work, showing machinery suitable for batch production.
3 (1985): Concentrates on the rolling processes, including flo-forming, thread and spline rolling.
4 (1985): Explains the theory of stretch forming and shows several examples of the process.
