Synopsis
The assessment of anxiety is useful in monitoring the treatment progress of individual patients. Anxiety is inferred from the patient’s symptoms, characteristic signs (e.g. facial expression) and physiological changes such as tachycardia and sweating. Discusses the Hamilton Anxiety Scale.
