Synopsis

Considers what is meant by mathematical thinking. Shows a group of teachers in an in-service session discovering the power of learning investigatively and then follows one of the teachers working with her seven-year-old pupils in this way. Also looks at the learning environment, how teachers make use of the resources available to them, and considers equal opportunities and special needs.
