Marketing a Hotel

Synopsis
Studies the refurbishment and marketing of the Crown Hotel, Scarborough, by its new owner. He sets about restoring the building after years of neglect, and installing new features including a café-bar, gym and swimming pool. The hotel gets its own website, giving potential customers a virtual tour of the rooms. A tough approach to cost cutting is introduced. Staff have to become multi-skilled with receptionists acting as marketeers. But not everyone is happy with the results, and despite all the radical changes, problems still remain.
