Management Strategies in Itt in Secondary Schools

Synopsis
Video-learning package for those engaged in developing a Partnership in Education programme and school-based ITT in secondary schools. Uses Littlehampton Community School as a case study in good proactice. In two parts: 1) exlores the school’s planning and management of a ‘whole school’ approach to ITT, focusing on the integration of ITT into the school’s policy, collective planning and development processes, and the role of the profesional tutor in working with trainees and mentors; 2) focuses on planning and progression in developing trainees in professional competence by showing mentors and trainees engaged in briefing, implementaiton and debriefing processes for trainees observing their mentor teacher and for collaborative teaching.
