Making of the ‘Six’, The

Synopsis
A behind-the-scenes view of how the ‘Six O’Clock News’ was made on one specific day in May 1987. Shows the complex process as teams of reporters and cameramen all around the world relay the news as it happens to Television Centre in London. The tape eavesdrops on the newscasters and the production team as they decide what stories to show, how they should be told, and the length of time each story merits. As new stories come in, they are recorded, edited, illustrated with graphics and then updated, or even dropped when a more recent or important item is given precendence.
