Synopsis
Explores mental health issues in people with learning disabilities. Presents the stories of three people with learning disabilities who develop mental illness. Mental health professionals discuss the main aspects of each individual’s behaviour that suggest mental illness and consider interventions aimed at improving the person’s mental health and decreasing the likelihood of relapse. The programme shows how support workers and carers can provide valuable background information and detailed historical profiles of the client.
