Synopsis

CD-ROM featuring a full text edition of the play edited by Professor A R Braunmuller, UCLA, with on-line annotations and glossary; commentary by Professor David Rodes; Trevor Nunn’s Royal Shakespeare Company production with Ian McKellen and Judi Dench; new essays on the history and language of the play, a gallery of QuickTime clips from films of ‘Macbeth’ including Polanski’s, Welles’ and Kurosawa’s versions; and tools including a concordance, a collation of the Braunmuller edition with the First Folio of 1623 and other major editions, and a reliniation which records the line-break variations between editions. A karaoke version allows the user to play opposite Lisa Harrow as Lady Macbeth or Robert Thaler as Macbeth in two scenes.
