Lost Horizon

Synopsis
Based on the novel by James Hilton in which a British diplomat and a small group of civilians crash-land in the Himalayas and are rescued by the people of the mysterious, Eden-like Shangri-la. The place provides an escape from the rest of the world where World War II is beginning. Stripped of 24 minutes of excessively ‘pacifist’ footage for its World War 2 re-release, this restoration includes all but seven 8 minutes of the original, with relevant stills replacing the still-missing footage. Additional features on the DVD include the theatrical trailer, a photodocumentary including three deleted scenes, alternative neding, restoration featureette and commentary.
