- Synopsis
- Shows the Ashwood Psychiatric Day Centre in Leeds which is run by the Leeds Association for Mental Health. Its programme centres on shared experience and mutual support through group discussion, the use of basic ‘encounter’ techniques, and a variety of shared activities ranging from preparing a meal to learning about photography. The film includes sensitive material with several members who talk about what it is like to be mentally ill and how the day centre has helped them.
