Living with Dying (6 Parts)

Synopsis
A series dealing practically and sensitively with death, dying and bereavement. It aims to help ease the apprehension and anxiety we feel about death and also provides a practical advice and experiences to deal with grief.
1: Asks us to think about our death, talking with friends and family about our wishes regarding organ donation, burial or cremetation, and making a will.
2: Terminal illness - to be told that you only have a short time to live may seem like the worst possible news, but people in this situation have talked about ‘a gift of time’.
3: Coming to terms with death - can seeing the body help the grieving process? How should children be involved?
4: The practical problems surrounding death, including how to register a death and who has to be notified. Looks at types of funerals available, including a humanist service.
5: The early stages of bereavement and the range of feelings people can expect.
