Living with Disaster

Synopsis
Shows what happens in poorer countries when natural disasters such as earthquakes, typhoons and drought strike. In contrast to the stereotyped images of people in developing countries as hopeless, passive victims of their environment, shows how in Zimbabwe, the Philippines and Bangladesh relatively inexpensive investment can reap huge rewards, cutting the cost not just of reconstruction but of the human suffering involved.
