- Synopsis
- Looks at new techniques that can help to diagnose and treat brain injuries and bring patients who are labelled permanently unconscious - in a persistent vegitative state - back into consciousness. Case of paralysesd Geoffrey Wildsmith, who learned to communicate by computer, and looks at the Schmieder Clinic in Germany, where computer imaging of the brain detects awareness, and comatose people are then rehabilitated.
