Lighting a Portrait

Synopsis
Explains the use of lights in a photographic studio and how to set them for best effect. A single human subject is used and each light is added in sequence. As each light is added, the reasons are explained and the actual monochrome photographs are compared. Examples are shown of room lights, key light, fill light, background and top lights using standard photographic lamps with a switched intensity controller. Effects lighting is not covered but the tutor can use the programme as a lead to location and effect lighting.
