Synopsis

Training programme in which four bereaved teenage girls discuss their experience, feelings and reactions following the death of a parent from cancer. The longer (32 min) version includes a personal account by each of the participants and provides a context in which their reactions can be appreciated and understood. The shorter (16 min) version addresses the different areas of school, counselling, friends, funerals, etc., which can be used as a focus for wider discussion, suggesting ways in which the ‘non-expert’ can help.
