Life and Death of Steve Biko
- Synopsis
- A portrait of South African anti-apartheid activist Steve Biko seen through the eyes of family and friends. During interrogation Biko suffered head injuries; no treatment was given and after five days he was driven 700 miles, naked and manacled. He died shortly after arrival in Pretoria, unattended. Includes an interview with his widow who claims that the offical cause of death, a hunger strike, could not have killed him so quickly.
