Synopsis
Concerned with the broader aspects of LRC provision. The arguments in favour of centralisation of resources are discussed and the librarian’s administrative and managerial responsibilities are enumerated. Optimum staffing establishments and training procedures for LRC personnel are suggested and the problems of present staffing policy in relation to school and college centres are examined. The programme shows the layout and organisation of the Jordanhill main library and non-book annexe.
