Lenses and Light
- Synopsis
- An introduction to single-camera training that demonstates important decisions that a director must take before the start of every shot: the position of the camera, its height, and the focal length of the lens. The tape goes on to illustrate the effect that lenses can play in the apparent speed of movement on the screen. Short drama excerpts provide clear examples of focus pulling and the effect of light on image and the depth of field.
