Shows how computers help to make minute adjustments to the lathe to peel the maximum amount of good veneer from a log, with high-speed control systems scanning the eneer to choose the right cutting point. Looks at the control software and its programmers and vists plywood mills in British Columbia and Oregon and a manufacturer of wood processing machinery in Vancouver.
