Last of the Cuiva, The

Synopsis
Illustrates the changes brought about recently and violently through contact with the outside world, in the culture and society of the Cuiva Indians, hunter-gatherers in Colombia. The contrasting position of two bands is shown, one of them still relatively isolated and the other with extensive contacts with Colombian settlers, to demonstrate the effects of these contacts and above all of the rapid invasion and loss of traditional territory.
