- Synopsis
- The story of Brazil’s greatest living explorers, Claudio and Orlando Villas Boas, now both in their 70s, who retrace their 1943 expedition into a then unexplored region of the southern Amazon. Their contact with previously unknown tribes inspired them to spend the next 30 years working to protect the Indian culture. Looks at the Krenakrore, living in harmony with nature, their religion and their culture and in danger of extinctioni. Contains historical archive footage of a fast-disappearing way of life as well as film of the Amazon, its wildlife and its people. The film follows the Boas brothers on a nostalgic 1000 mile journey from their Sao Paulo home to the Upper Xingu Basin.
