A biographical study of Beat Generation writer Jack Kerouac combining archive footage, stills, television interviews, interviews with his contemporaries and dramatised events from his life, from his impoverished Catholic boyhood to his death from alcohol abuse at age 19. Contains archive footage and interviews with William Burroughs, Allen Ginsberg, Neal Cassady and Paul Bowles.
