Unedited newsreel records from the televised proceedings of the Kefauver crime trials, the first daytime transmissions to make a major impression in America, watched by an estimated audience of 45 million. As a direct result, the then unknown Senator Kefauver became a Democratic candidate for the presidency in 1952.
