Synopsis
John Davidson is a 16-year-old boy who suffers from Tourette’s syndrome, a rare nervous disorder characterised by violent outbursts of hyperactivity and profanity. The 1989 programme follows him as he lears to cope with an illness that makes everyday social contact a battleground.
The 2004 DVD release includes footage from the 2002 follow up BBC documentary The Boy Can’t Help It.
