Synopsis
The Portuguese occupation of the Sri Lankan coast in the 16th century brought Catholicism to fishing villages. Examines the cross-cultural folklore which resulted, concentrating on the celebration of Easter, with each village staging its own passion play with songs, drums and colourful costumes.
